The "Coushatta Clubber", Joe Adcock was off to a terrible start for the Milwaukee Braves this season. Joe had 68 official at bats going into Tuesday's game with the Phillies off of ace Robin Roberts. Fred Haney asked him if he wanted to sit this game against one of the games great right handed pitchers. Adcock declined and took extra batting practice in the cage around 4:00 and it paid off. On his 69th official at bat for 1957, Joe clubbed his first homerun of the season off Roberts and then came back on his 70th at bat and slammed his second homerun of the season. Roberts has been tagged with ten "Dingers" so far this season and four times in the game against the Braves. Henry Aaron and Eddie Mathews had "boundry belts" for the Braves other two.
