Don Zimmer had big day for Brooklyn Saturday. He went 4 for 5 with two homeruns, one a grand slammer, and drove in 5 runs. Don had 11 total bases as he slammed a double in his last at bat. Those two homeruns give "Zim" 3 on the season. The Brooks defeated the Pirates at Forbes field behind a fine performance from Don Newcombe but he lost his early stuff and needed relief help from young Sandy Koufax...check that story.
