Frank Robinson polled two long homeruns to help the Cincinnati Redlegs beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 8-6. Robbie now has the league lead in dingers with 7. In the same game the leagues leading hitter, Ed Bouchee, had his 9th multi hit game in 13 so far this season. The best pitching performance of the day came in the State of New York. In Brooklyn, Don Drysdale tossed a two hitter and struck out 8 in beating the Chicago Cubs. And in New York City, Curt Barclay tossed a 3 hitter at first place Milwaukee and bested their great lefty Warren Spahn 1-0. Posted by Picasa
