Gene Baker changed uniforms along with Dee Fondy of the Cubs. They were traded to Pittsburgh for Lee Walls and Dale Long. The change of scenery didn't do too much for any of the gentlemen, as they were a total of 1 for 15 on the day with their new teams. Only Lee Walls managed to get a hit (single) for his new teammates the Chicago Cubs
