the Brooklyn Dodgers 3 to 1.

Smith was next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Dick Groat then stroked a
single. Hank Foiles stepped in and he lashed a single scoring a run. Bill
Mazeroski dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Law added to the
outburst and laced a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning.

finished with just 5 hits in the victory.

Clem Labine recorded the save, his 1st. The losing pitcher was Ron

then hit a deep fly scoring the run. Philadelphia rapped out 8 hits for the
afternoon.

absorbed the loss in relief. It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow

runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Marv Blaylock kicked off the
action when he was hit by a pitch. Richie Ashburn stepped up next and he
doubled. Ted Kazanski then hit a single which was good for two runs.
Kazanski took second on the throw. Philadelphia finished with 11 hits while

the mood for questions, but I'm sure Mayo Smith will be glad to talk about

Sportsman's Park.

Dark helped send the fans home happy. He laced a single in the 1st inning,
