Chicago Cubs purchased the contract of Chuck Tanner from the Milwaukee Braves on June 8th, 1957. Tanner was remembered for hitting a homerun in his very first plate appearence for the Milwaukee Braves on April 12th, 1955. Also, Jim Davis was purchased from the St. Louis Cardinals by the New York Giants on June 4th. Just a note to let you know that I might be switching the blog.
