Baseballville

My brother's wife Inga Rockwood passed away today April 18th, 2006. Inga was such a sweet lady and a great Yankee fan. We use to have wonderful (she used that word a lot) talks of those Yankee teams with Mantle, Maris, Yogi and Whitey. She loved baseball and the New York Yankees and followed them religiously. I can remember one story she told me about the time her and her girl friend went down to Yankee Stadium for a weekend series, before she met my brother. She loved to keep score of the games and the night before she kept a beautiful 3 hit shutout by John Candelaria. The next day at the game, she tried to get Candelaria to sign the score sheet for a momentum for her and he refused. How sad she was when he ignored her. Now my sister-in-law is rubbing shoulders with Mickey, Roger and the Babe and she is enjoying her "Field of Dreams". I love my sister-in-law very much and will miss her greatly.
