In a two run game the Cincinnati Redlegs tallied 4 runs in the 6th inning and
got by the Brooklyn Dodgers by the score of 5 to 3.

Cincinnati brought 4 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 6th inning
when they had 3 base hits. The key at-bat was by Pete Whisenant who thrilled
the crowd when he tripled clearing all three ducks off the pond. Brooklyn
could do no damage in the 9th.

Johnny Klippstein(3-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Brooks Lawrence earned his 1st save. The loss was charged
to Danny McDevitt(0-1). Although losing the contest, he whiffed 10 batters
in 6 innings.

With this win, Cincinnati has a 36-22 record. They have been 7-3 lately.
With this loss, Brooklyn has a 4-6 record of late, 32-24 overall.
