Games from Thursday June 27th, 1957

Ozzie and Valmy led Giant's comeback in handing the Redlegs a 9-8 loss.
Welcome back the return of the stats page. Downloaded version 11.03 and my blog started working again. Other notables today has the Phillies in first all by their lonesome. Brooklyn creeped up into second percentage points ahead of Milwaukee and Cincinnati. Don Drysdale won his 9th game of the season for Brooklyn in his route job over Braves.

had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

Bob Purkey(6-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 3
runs. Roy Face recorded the save, his 10th. The losing pitcher was Dick
Drott(3-10).

'You have to give Chicago credit, they fought us tough to the end' Bobby

base-hit. After another out, Jim Gilliam came up and he lined a single
scoring one more run. Pee Wee Reese stepped into the box and banged out a
