Here is the starting lineup for the American League for Tuesday's All-Star game in St. Louis. Leading off and playing shortstop, from Detroit, Harvy Kuenn. Batting second from the White Sox, Nellie Fox playing secondbase. In the third slot is Detroit's Al Kaline, playing rightfield. Clean-up is the Yankee's Mickey Mantle in centerfield, followed by Boston's Ted Williams in left. Cleveland's Vic Wertz will bat next and play firstbase. The Yankees' Yogi Berra will be the American league's catcher, and Baltimore's George Kell gets the starting assignment at third. On the mound for the American Leaguers will be Detroit's Jim Bunning. Other All-Stars are from the New York Yankees, Bob Grim, Elston Howard, Gil McDougald, Bobby Richadson, Bobby Shantz, and Bill Skowron. From the Baltimore Orioles, Billy Loes and Gus Triandos. From the Boston Redsox, Frank Malzone. From the Chicago White Sox, Minnie Minoso and Billy Pierce. From the Detroit Tigers, Charlie Maxwell. From the Kansas City Athletics, Joe DeMaestri, and from the Washington Senators Roy Sievers. From Cleveland is Early Wynn and Don Mossi.
