Carl Erskine was on top of his game, blanking St. Louis on just 3 hits at
Sportsman's Park where the Brooklyn Dodgers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6 to

Erskine(1-0) escaped virtually unscathed against the St. Louis hitters. He
