Games of Saturday, July the 20th, 1957

The Braves knocked off the Giants thanks in large part to Bob Trowbridge who extented his record to 5 and 0 with relief help from Don McMahon. Johnny DeMerit collected two hits and 2 rbi in place of Henry Aaron who is still out. The amazing season for George Crowe continues. He hit his league leading 30th. He is on a pace to hit 50 this year, that is +19 over his actual total. The Redlegs are on pace two hit over 240 homeruns in a year which saw them hit 187...Fifty plus homeruns is why the Redlegs are clinging to the top of the standings...and they play in that little "band box" called Crosley Field!!! I can see the Redlegs sticking in this race to the end.
